Final state interaction and a light mass “exotic” resonance

چکیده
We investigate the possibility that the light-mass exotic mesons with J = 1−+ observed at BNL and CERN may be resonances in the ηπ and η′π systems associated with the anomalous glue which generates the η′ mass in QCD.

Possibility of Narrow High-Mass Exotic States
Narrow high-mass states can arise despite large phase space when two nearly degenerate states are coupled to the same dominant decay mode. Mixing via a final-state interaction loop diagram can produce one very broad state and one narrow state. Such a situation is generic in exotic hadrons where a color singlet with given flavor and spin quantum numbers can be constructed with two distinct inter...
متن کاملStatus of X(1835) and pp¯ Interaction from Chiral Symmetry
After the observation of the strong near-threshold enhancement of proton-antiproton mass spectrum in J/ψ → γpp̄ decay, lots of theoretical investigations have been available such as new resonance, the final-state pp̄ interaction (FSI), pp̄ bound state (or baryonium), glueball, or other exotic (tetra-quark) states. Here, we provide a short review on the current status, especially on the pertinent d...
متن کاملManifestations of anomalous glue: light-mass exotic mesons and gη′NN
The light-mass exotics with J = 1 observed at BNL and CERN may have a simple explanation as dynamically generated resonances in η′π rescattering in the final state interaction. This dynamics is mediated by the same anomalous glue which also generates the large mass of the η′. OZI violating processes are also potentially important to η′ production in proton-proton collisions close to threshold. ...
متن کاملEvidence for an Exotic Baryon State, Θ(1540), in Photoproduction Reactions from Protons and Deuterons with CLAS
CLAS photoproduction data on deuterium and hydrogen targets have been analyzed in a search for an exotic baryon state with strangeness S = +1, the Θ (originally named the Z). This resonance was predicted recently in theoretical work based on the chiral soliton model as a lowest mass member of an anti-decuplet of 5-quark states. The reaction γd → pKKn, which requires a final state interaction in...
متن کاملExotic Hadronic States at Hera
The hadronic states studied in hadron spectroscopy have been successfully explained by quark-antiquark states (mesons) or three quark states (baryons). States whose quantum numbers could be understood in terms of more complex quark structures were up to now not observed. Such exotic states were already proposed on the basis of quark and bag models [1] in the early days of QCD, with the hope tha...
